Norway’s consumer confidence indicator rose to -3.6 in the third quarter of 2025 from a downwardly revised -9.1 in the previous quarter. This marked the fourteenth consecutive period of negative sentiment but the softest reading in the sequence, as households regained confidence in their own finances in the past year (6.9 vs -7.4 in Q2) and became even more optimistic in the future (21.8 vs 11.2). Additionally, consumers became less negative about the country’s economy in the past twelve months (-3.3 vs -21.2) and in the coming year (-28.3 vs -52). Lastly, consumers found the time for making large purchases less unfavorable (-9.1 vs -19.8).
