Uruguay recorded a trade deficit of $313.51 million in March 2025, widening from the $198.77 million deficit in the same month last year, marking a seven-month streak of deficits. Exports soared 5.1% year-on-year to $710.81 million, driven by a surge of 20.3% in manufactured goods, while primary goods dropped 26.2% and utilities plunged 80.4%. Imports also grew, rising 13.7% to $1,024.32 million, with intermediate goods rising 10.2%, consumer goods up 21.4% and capital goods increasing 14.9%.
