Exports of goods and services from the United States rose 3% to $289.4 billion in April 2025, the highest on record. Goods exports increased $6.2 billion to $190.5 billion, driven by finished metal shapes ($8.1 billion), nonmonetary gold ($4.2 billion), and computers ($1.0 billion). On the other hand, sales fell for crude oil (down $1.1 billion), passenger cars (down $1.7 billion) and trucks, buses, and special purpose vehicles (down $1.0 billion). Also, exports of services increased $2.1 billion to $98.9 billion, particularly travel ($1.4 billion).
