Kenya's annual inflation rate climbed to an eight-month high of 4.1% in April 2025, from 3.6% in the previous month. Still, inflation remained well within the central bank’s target range of 5±2.5%. On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose by 0.3% in April, slightly easing from a 0.4% increase in March. Earlier this month Kenya's central bank cut its policy interest rate for the fifth meeting in a row to 10% to stimulate private sector lending and economic activity.
