Foreign exchange reserves in Hong Kong eased to $408.7 billion in April, marking the lowest level since July 2017, down from $412.5 billion in the previous month. The amount represented more than five times the currency in circulation, or about 36% of Hong Kong dollar M3. Including unsettled foreign exchange contracts, the foreign currency reserve assets amounted to $407.9 billion.
