Georgia’s trade deficit narrowed slightly to USD 854.2 million in July 2025 from USD 884.3 million in the corresponding month of the previous year. Year-on-year, exports declined sharply by 10.8% to USD 610.4 million, while imports fell by 6.6% to 1,464.6 million. During the January-July period, the country’s trade deficit widened to USD 6,465.6 million from USD 5,779.2 million in the same period a year ago, with exports and imports rising by 9.0% and 10.8% respectively.
