Botsuana Verbraucherpreise

The annual inflation in Botswana dropped to 1.1% in July 2025, the softest since August 2020, from 2% in the prior month. Prices slowed down mostly for food & non-alcoholic beverages (4.3% vs 5.4% in June); miscellaneous goods & services (7.5% vs 7.8%); alcoholic beverages & tobacco (6.4% vs 6.6%); recreation & culture (2.3% vs 2.6%); and restaurants & hotels (2.8% vs 3%). Moreover, declines were observed for housing & utilities (-4.2% vs -0.1%) and transportation (-1.9% vs -1.7%). On a monthly basis, the CPI fell by 0.7% in July, marking the steepest decrease in ten months, after a 0.2% rise in the month before.
