Bank Indonesia kept its benchmark interest rate unchanged at 5.75% during its April 2025 meeting, in line with market expectations. The decision reflects the central bank’s ongoing commitment to maintaining price stability within its inflation target range of 2.5% ±1% for both 2025 and 2026, while also safeguarding the Rupiah's stability amid heightened global uncertainty and supporting domestic economic growth. Indonesia's annual inflation rate rebounded to a three-month high of 1.03% in March 2025, following a 0.09% decline in the previous month. In addition, the Rupiah appreciated by 0.12% to IDR 16,560 per US dollar as of March 27, 2025, primarily supported by Bank Indonesia's active stabilization measures amid ongoing global financial market uncertainty. The overnight deposit facility rate and the lending facility rate were also left steady at 5.00% and 6.50%, respectively.
