The Central Bank of Armenia kept its benchmark interest rate unchanged at 6.75% during its July 2025 meeting, maintaining the stance from its previous meeting and marking the third pause in the easing cycle that began in June 2023. Policymakers also maintained the deposit rate at 5.25% and the lending rate at 8.25%. This decision came as the country's annual headline inflation surged to a twenty six-month high of 4.3% in May, surpassing the central bank’s 4% target. Meanwhile, Armenia’s GDP growth expanded by 5.2% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2025, accelerating from a 3.7% growth in the previous quarter.
